For the third consecutive year, the Hamer Foundation has graciously donated $100,000 to the Centre Gives stretch pool. This gift doubles the available pool to a total of $200,000.
Since Centre Gives began in 2012, Centre Foundation has provided an annual $100,000 stretch pool. The more money an organization raises, the greater the portion of the stretch pool that organization will receive. Thanks to the Hamer Foundation’s donation, gifts were stretched an average of 15% for the past two years.
“The generosity of the Hamer Foundation year after year is truly remarkable,” expressed Molly Kunkel, Executive Director at Centre Foundation. “Donor dollars will now be stretched even further, allowing local nonprofits to have an even greater impact in Centre County.”
In addition to striving for the stretch pool, organizations and donors can also compete for $25,000 in prizes that are offered throughout the event. Anyone interested in sponsoring a prize should contact Centre Foundation. Sponsorship levels range from $500 to $5,000.
Since 2012, over $6.8 million has been invested into our local nonprofit network. Community members have supported nonprofits working in the areas of arts, animals, education, environment, and health & social services.
