Centre Foundation will host the eleventh annual Centre Gives, a 36-hour online giving event for Centre County nonprofits, on May 10 and 11, 2022. 

Qualified nonprofit organizations are invited to apply to participate in this year’s event at CentreGives.org. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 18, 2022, and organizations that apply by 5:00 pm on February 25 will be entered into a drawing for one of two $250 Early Bird grant prizes. 

“The level at which our community bands together during Centre Gives is always an inspiration,” said Molly Kunkel, Executive Director at Centre Foundation. “We can’t wait to highlight and celebrate the work of local nonprofits with our generous community once again this May.” 

During Centre Gives, every dollar donated to local organizations goes further thanks to a $200,000 stretch pool and $100,000 bonus stretch pool provided by Centre Foundation and the Hamer Foundation. Donors can also help their favorite organizations win additional cash prizes throughout the event. 

The minimum donation during Centre Gives is $10; there is no maximum. 

“We hope that Centre Gives shows that anyone can be a philanthropist. Your support—at any level—can make a lasting impact on your favorite local nonprofits,” said Kunkel. 

As in previous years, participating organizations will have the opportunity to network and sharpen their fundraising skills during the upcoming Centre Gives Success Series webinars. Sessions will be conducted via Zoom during March and April and will be recorded for those who are unable to attend in real-time. 

Since Centre Foundation launched Centre Gives in 2012, over $12.5 million has been invested into local nonprofits. Last year, $2.2 million was raised to benefit over 190 organizations serving our community in the arts, education, health and human services, the environment, and more.
