Centre Foundation will be hosting the ninth annual Centre Gives, a 36-hour online giving event for Centre County nonprofits, on May 12 and 13, 2020.

Qualified nonprofit organizations are invited to apply to participate in this year’s event at CentreGives.org. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 13, and organizations that apply by 11:59 pm on Feb. 14 will be entered into a drawing for one of two $250 Early Bird grant prizes.

“Last year, the number of participating organizations increased to over 175,” said Molly Kunkel, Executive Director at Centre Foundation. “It’s very exciting to see this event continue to grow year after year and to impact thousands of lives in Centre County.”

Since Centre Foundation launched Centre Gives in 2012, over $8.2 million has been invested into the local nonprofit network—strengthening Centre County in the areas of human services, education, the environment, the arts, and more.

“Once again, Centre Foundation will provide a $100,000 stretch pool along with additional prize money to help donors make an even bigger impact with their generosity,” said Kunkel.

As in previous years, participating organizations will have the opportunity to network and sharpen their fundraising skills during the upcoming Centre Gives Success Series. Sessions will be held at Centre Foundation’s office throughout the month of March.
