Darryl Washington created this fund to honor two people of importance in his life: Ron Pavlechko, his former coach at State College Area High School, and Gwen Washington, his mother. The fund provides student-athletes, within the State College Area School District, with financial assistance to offset the cost of equipment, uniforms, physical exams, and other financial requirements incurred by participating in their chosen sport. The fund benefited from an employee matching grant from the Coca-Cola Company, where Darryl is employed.
