The Campbells established this fund through a bequest in the will of Judge R. Paul Campbell, who was the driving force behind the establishment of Centre Foundation. Both Paul and Ora were intensely involved with the community. Paul founded the Centre County Youth Services Bureau and was active in numerous other charitable and civic organizations. Ora worked with the American Red Cross Bloodmobile for 30 years and with the Centre County United Way during its formation. This fund supports Centre Foundation’s discretionary funds, which are used to meet the changing needs of Centre County residents. In a unique role as philanthropic leaders of the community, foundation board members and staff are equipped to understand the changing needs of the community and to focus grants where they can make the most impact over the years.
