Mattil Family Fund

Edward L. Mattil established this fund in memory of Polly Davis Mattil, Betty Melich Mattil and Alice Schwartz Mattil. Ed was a State College native who taught art and art education in the State College Area School District and at Penn State. He established this fund to support the children's department at Schlow Region library, animal welfare, and Centre Foundation’s competitive grants. Half the distributions from the Mattil Family Fund are to be used at the discretion of the Foundation, 30% go to Schlow Memorial Library for the children's department, and 20% are to be used for animal welfare.
