Judy Pleskonko Fund
A resident of Philipsburg, Judy was a respected community member and professional in the health and emergency response field. During her career, Judy worked as a nurse in the emergency departments at Mt. Nittany Medical Center and Philipsburg State General Hospital, and most recently served as the Centre County Chief Deputy Coroner. Judy was involved with establishing the local Sexual Assault Forensics Examiners program and continued to be involved with the program for many years. Judy also was an active member of the PA Coroner's Association and the PA Coroner's Ways and Means Committee, was a member of the American Board of Medico Legal Death Investigators and led the child death review team in her region. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Judy was an active community volunteer for many local health and service organizations. She was one of the first recipients of the Hero Award given during Central PA 4th Fest, a member of the Philipsburg Elks, the current president of the Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services board of directors and was once active with the local search and rescue program. This fund was created in loving memory of Judy's life, in support of the community she served, and loved.
