Josephine "Jo" Pedersen was a loving wife, mother, and the dedicated teacher of thousands of young children over her career. Mrs. Pedersen was an elementary school teacher in the State College area from 1968 until her retirement in 1994. She taught primary grades at Radio Park Elementary School from 1975 until she retired. Jo taught many young people to read, and her desire to reach children through literature is the inspiration for this Fund. This Fund was created in Jo's memory, by her loved ones, to provide books and other library materials for the Radio Park Elementary School students.
