John Raynar Penn State Media Leadership Fund
John Raynar is one of the truly outstanding professionals in the broadcasting industry. An experienced radio veteran, he has worked for the Howard Stern Radio Show, MTV Networks, as well as many others, both local and national. He is currently the long-time host of the iconic Southern California 93KHJ-FM, which is in American Samoa, where he resides with his wonderful wife Alice and their 4 children.
He began his broadcasting career in 1999 at WKPS, The LION 90.7fm, where he was their main underwriting director, and also hosted the State Your Face radio show.
In 2021, John earned international recognition as a finalist in the NAB Marconi Radio Awards.
A former resident of New York City, John is a survivor of 9/11.
John attends the Lupelele Church of Christ, is a Past President of The Rotary Club of Pago Pago, and was also named as a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International. A graduate of Penn State University, John also chairs the Penn State Student Media Leadership Fund, an endowment created to facilitate mentors who help students learn the craft of radio, (as well as other charitable pursuits).
