John Arms American Red Cross Fund
The John Arms American Red Cross Fund will support the mission of the American Red Cross in memory of John Arms, who was born in 1924 in Dauphin, PA. John graduated from Boyer Memorial High School in Halifax and then from Shippensburg Teachers College. He taught math and science courses to high school students and then later worked for Jet Propulsion Laboratories, conducting research on rechargeable batteries, which was affiliated with the space program. John was a lieutenant in the Navy, serving in the Philippines during WWII and earning a Purple Heart. When at home, John enjoyed hiking the mountains and walking through nature’s beauty. He will be missed by his family and friends but remembered through the legacy of this fund.
