The Helen and Chet Behr Fund was created by their son. As members of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church of State College, they understood the healing powers of prayer. The church worships in a prayer-book centered tradition of the Anglican Communion. Therefore, this fund provides the church with copies of the Book of Common Prayer and supports the overall mission of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church of State College: a community of faith seeking to “promote charity, which is the chief of Christian graces,” and welcoming all persons, regardless of race, ethnic background, gender identity, sexual orientation, capability or circumstances of life.
