This fund was established by Ed Klevans, a Professor and Department Head Emeritus of Nuclear Engineering at Penn State, and Debbie Klevans, a Director of the Office of Program Development for Outreach and Cooperative Extension at Penn State, in order to support charitable organizations in Centre County. The Klevans spent a professional lifetime in education and fervently believe that we never grow too old to learn. In addition to increasing educational opportunities in the county, they are also interested in enriching and expanding the arts in the region. This fund has supported organizations the Klevans are passionate about, including the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Penn State, as well as Centre Foundation’s competitive grants, which help meet the community's most pressing needs.
