Centre Foundation’s annual Field-of-Interest grant application is now open, offering $61,123 in grants.

“Local charitable nonprofits and governmental agencies are encouraged to apply for funding from any of the 15 Field-of-Interest funds,” noted Molly Kunkel, Executive Director at Centre Foundation. “Each fund supports a specific type of program, population, or geographic area, depending on our donors’ passions.”

At Centre Foundation, each fund starts with a donor and a unique legacy. By establishing a fund, donors are able to make an impact in the areas that matter most to them.

The Mimi Barash Coppersmith Women in Leadership Fund, established by Barbara Palmer to honor Mimi’s contributions to our community, will be eligible to grant for the first time this year. This fund supports programs that encourage women to take strong leadership roles around community issues.

The Andrew and Madeline Rishel Family Fund was established in 2016 by the family of these longtime Penns Valley residents. This fund supports programs at Penns Valley churches, including mission trips, church camps, cemetery preservation, and community outreach projects for the elderly, handicapped, and/or low-income individuals.
