Centre Foundation will host the tenth annual Centre Gives, a 36-hour online giving event for Centre County nonprofits, on May 11 and 12, 2021.

Qualified nonprofit organizations are invited to apply to participate in this year’s event at CentreGives.org. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 19, 2021, and organizations that apply by 11:59 pm on February 24 will be entered into a drawing for one of two $250 Early Bird grant prizes.

Last year, the outpouring of support for our community’s nonprofits was incredible,” said Molly Kunkel, Executive Director at Centre Foundation. “It was inspiring to see such amazing generosity meeting the urgent needs of the organizations serving our county.”

Since Centre Foundation launched Centre Gives in 2012, over $10.4 million has been invested into the local nonprofit network—strengthening Centre County in the areas of human services, education, the environment, the arts, and more.

Centre Foundation will provide a $200,000 stretch pool along with additional prize money to help donors make an even greater impact with their generosity.

“We understand that many folks are struggling financially as the pandemic continues, but they also want to help, so the minimum gift is just $10. We hope that this allows more people in our community to participate and give back at a level that works for them,” said Kunkel.

As in previous years, participating organizations will have the opportunity to network and sharpen their fundraising skills during the upcoming Centre Gives Success Series webinars. Sessions will be conducted via Zoom during March and April and will be recorded for those who are unable to attend in real-time.
