The Melita B. Snedden Fund

In 2015, The Melita B. Snedden Fund was established by her daughter Jacquelyn “Jackie” Snedden, a 2017 graduate of State College Area High School and active community member. Sadly, Melita succumbed to a brain aneurysm after surviving three others. Since then, Jackie has focused on those who suffer from traumatic brain injuries and how to make a difference in their lives. Melita was a long-time resident of State College who had very strong interests in politics, horticulture, the outdoors, animals, fish, sports (especially field hockey since this is Jackie’s sport), and shopping. As a donor-advised fund, the recipient organizations may change each year depending on where Jackie, the donor advisor, sees the greatest need.
