State College Evening Rotary Club Fund
Founded in 1924, the State College Evening Rotary Club is the oldest Rotary Club in Centre County and sponsored the formation of many other clubs in the region. More than 1.2 million Rotarians in more than 34,000 Rotary Clubs around the world promote and live the organization’s historic ideal of “Service Above Self.” Throughout the year, State College Evening Rotary Club supports or organizes many community and international projects, such as The Battle of the Minds benefitting Centre Volunteers in Medicine, Rotary Youth Exchange hosting at least one inbound foreign exchange student and sponsoring a local student’s outbound experience, Interact Club at State High and Rotaract Club at Penn State, and the Help Our Kids program, which helps high school students to afford field trips, admission fees for camps and activities, prom, graduation, etc. As a donor-advised fund, the recipient organizations may change each year, depending on where the donor-advisors see the greatest need.
