Rose Cologne Memorial Educational Scholarship Fund for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Centre County
Established in memory of Dr. Rose Cologne, one of the founders of Tri-County Habitat for Humanity (now Habitat for Humanity of Greater Centre County), this fund helps finance the education of Habitat family members who are advancing their careers. Dr. Cologne was an instrumental member of many service agencies with a long history of commitment to community service in the Centre Region. HFHGCC is a nondenominational housing ministry that welcomes all people who are in need of affordable housing. Partnering with individuals, corporations, and faith-based organizations, HFHGCC builds or renovates simple, affordable housing for low-income families in need. The families are required to contribute sweat equity before purchasing homes, which are built at-cost and come with non-interest mortgages.
