Ralph Montresor "Mr. Baseball" was dedicated to teaching young people the ideals of fair play on and off the field. He influenced players in Little League, Teener, High School, American Legion, and County League for over 30 years. Inducted into the American Legion Hall of Fame in 1983, he also received the Good Scout Award from the Juniata Valley Council in 1986 for his extensive service to youth baseball in all capacities. The award from this fund goes to a senior member of the State College Area High School baseball team who exhibits the enthusiasm, game knowledge, and sense of fair play of the game to which "Mr. Baseball" devoted his life.
