Patricia Best Superintendent’s Fund for Instructional Innovation
Dr. Patricia Best moved to State College in 1977 and worked her way up from substitute teacher to Superintendent of the State College Area School District. She served the district for 32 years, 10 of those years as Superintendent before retiring in 2009. She and her husband, Thomas Ray, place strong value on education and hope to help SCASD continue to flourish in the future. This fund was created with a gift from Patricia and Tom but was grown with many donations from community members honoring her years of service to the education of children. This fund supports creative curricular and classroom activities and programs at the State College Area School District.
