Osaze Osagie College Scholarship Endowment
Osaze Osagie was a soft-spoken and personable young man. He loved music, reading his bible and attending church at State College Assembly of God and State College Access Church. Osaze was a student in State College Area School District and later Penn State. He was able to use his skills to work and volunteer with various organizations in the community despite living with mental health challenges and autism. As is all too common in incidents like these across the country, Osaze’s life was tragically cut short when he was killed during a police response to his home in State College, Pennsylvania. Honoring Osaze’s deep commitment to helping others in need, the Osaze Osagie College Scholarship endowment is dedicated to keeping Osaze’s spirit of caring alive. By supporting students in State College Area School District who serve the community through volunteerism, this scholarship endowment will invest in racially underrepresented students transitioning to college with heavy financial needs. This endowment was started with funds raised by Central PA Standing Up for Racial Justice and depends on the generous donations of individuals and businesses to provide scholarships to qualified candidates.
