Emmanuel United Church of Christ was an integral part of the lives of Mary Jane and Paul A. Rishel, both from a spiritual aspect and community outreach.  They were both members for 50+ years and had a keen desire to see the perpetuation of the church and therefore, established this endowment to aid in that desire.
