Maneval Family Fund V
Though he has traveled to many extraordinary places and resided in both Washington D.C. and Alaska, David Maneval now calls State College home. He was born and raised in Williamsport and attended Penn State, receiving his master’s degree in chemistry and doctorate in engineering. Throughout his lifetime, David has held various professional positions, from teaching at Penn State, to being involved in both our state and federal government and even serving as the dean of the College of Earth and Sciences at the University of Alaska. After an unbelievable career path, David has returned to the State College area and enjoys being an active contributor in making this community a better place. He is a longtime member of the congregation of the State College Presbyterian Church and has been actively involved in scouting since he was 12 years old. This fund provides support for the Juniata Valley Boy Scouts Seven Mountains Scout Camp. For many years the camp has been the site of day and overnight camping programs for the JVBS, providing cabins, tenting areas, dining facilities, and a variety of outdoor activities and experiences.
