This fund was established by the late Walter Edwin Markle to honor the memory of his parents, Hogan and Grace Markle. The fund will provide scholarships to one male and one female senior from the State College Area School District each year who best meet the eligibility requirements, conditions of scholarship, sportsmanship, and citizenship.  Scholarship recipients must have proof of enrollment in any advanced education program, such as trade school, vocational school, or a two or four-year college or university.
