The Hart Van Horn Scholarship Fund was established by Barbara Van Horn, a longtime Penn State educator in the field of Family Literacy. The scholarship is intended to encourage Adult Education students teaching basic education and literacy at Penn State, to pursue courses and/or research in Family Literacy through the Goodling Institute for Literacy.
