Duane O. and Martha J. Callahan Fund
Duane proudly served his country for over 20 years of active duty. He was a decorated veteran of both WWII and Korea, with a total of 95 combat missions flown. After retiring from active duty, he accepted the position as airport manager at Williamsport. From there, he went on to become a pilot for Penn State, where he remained until retirement. Duane enjoyed his retirement years. He and Martha had a winter home in Florida, where they both lived life to the fullest - golfing, sightseeing and, most of all, flying their airplane. Nothing intrigued Duane more than flying. It was his life-long passion. The fund supports the operation and programs of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in State College.
