A generous donor contributed $100,000 anonymously to start this fund with the hope that it would strengthen the State College Area School District's music education program and increase students' potential to perform, create, and understand music. Distributions from this fund are paid to SCASD to enhance the sequential program of music courses in band, orchestra, choir, piano, voice, musical theatre, and music theory as offered at the different grade levels across the district. The distributions are also intended to contribute to the extracurricular activities of the musical groups sponsored by the district.
