Christine Palmer was an elementary teacher and reading specialist in the Mifflin County School District for thirty-nine years. Chris loved inspiring her students to find joy in learning. She especially loved working with co-teachers to develop learning projects that so engaged her students that they would learn in spite of themselves. When leaving for school each morning, she would often say that she was “going to the greatest job in the universe!” This scholarship is being established to ensure that others who have a passion for inspiring young minds will be able to do so without financial burden.
