Child Access Center Fund
The Centre County Child Access Center was created through a community collaboration led by Judge Thomas Kistler in 2007 after a horrific event occurred during a child custody exchange. Since October 2008, the Centre County Child Access Center has been providing a safe place for parents to exchange custody of their children. In March 2012, supervised visitation services were added. These free services are available to parents in need, whether they are required by court or referred by themselves or another agency. In 2013, Judge Kistler's mother, Jean L. Kistler, passed away at the age of 86 after leading a full and happy life. Judge Kistler established this fund at the Foundation in her memory. With his leadership, Centre Foundation is proud to work with Judge Kistler to support the necessary services that the Centre County Child Access Center provides in our community.
