Guided by the principles of responsible development and stewardship, the Centre County Housing and Land Trust (CCHLT) seeks to develop and sustain affordable housing with honesty, integrity, and fairness. Their goal is to lead the way in creating diverse, vibrant communities of long-term affordable home ownership in Centre County by pursuing these values: to increase the ability of low and moderate income households to secure decent and affordable housing located within Centre County; to preserve the quality and affordability of housing for future low and moderate income residents of the County; to combat community deterioration in residential neighborhoods by promoting the development, rehabilitation, and maintenance of quality housing; to protect the natural environment and to promote the ecologically sound use of land and natural resources, as well as the long-term sustainability of the County; and to promote the general social welfare of the County and to maintain the historic and aesthetic qualities of the County communities.
