Carl and Josephine Gettig Memorial Fund
Josephine and Carl Gettig were long-time residents of Centre County, living for many years in Pleasant Gap. Supportive of many organizations in the community, Josephine was an active member of Altrusa Club, serving as president from 1965-67. She was also an active member of the Pleasant Gap United Methodist Church, serving as choir director for 14 years. Carl was equally active in the community, generously donating the land for the current Pleasant Gap Little League. He was also involved with the Boy Scouts of Pleasant Gap and the Pleasant Gap United Methodist Church. Their love and support of their community continues on through this generous estate gift. This fund provides for a number of organizations which support local children’s' programs, animal rescue, health research and support, as well as the church and fire company that serve Josephine’s hometown.
